Carefully roll the Gas Rings using your fingers to avoid any possible damage that could cause a gas leak. Also, ensure there is an even gap between the Gas Rings.
Now, it’s time to work on your Carrier.

One by one steps on how to build an AR-15

First, ensure you have all of the above-stated parts and tools. You must also have a clean table or surface with enough lighting where you will build your AR-15.
Start by installing the Forward Assist into the AR-15 upper receiver. Ensure the pawl faces straight into the hole in the receiver. Then compress the Forward Assist and drive the pin through its slot till it flushes with the receiver. You should use a roll pin punch.
In case you bought your BCG in individual parts, assembling it should be your next step. It also applies to the charging handle.
The next step will entail fixing your barrel assembly into the upper. However, you will have to mount the upper on the Vise and utilize the vise block. Thread the barrel into its place on the front part of the upper receiver. You shouldn’t forget to ensure that the pin on the barrel aligns with the small space on the receiver.
Proceed and thread the receiver nut and barrel retainer nut. You may apply some anti-seize grease before you start the threading. Also, your Armorers wrench will play a part in tightening the nuts and the barrel.
At this stage, you should now install the Gas Tube & Gas Block. Start by installing Gas tube into its hole on the upper receiver via the barrel nut retainer nut. The end of the gas tube with three holes is the one that goes into the upper receiver. Then position the Gas block onto the barrel as you guide the Gas tube into its place. Finalize this stage by tightening the set screws on the Gas block.
Now install your AR-15 free-float handguard or preferred rail system. Ensure the screws holes on the handguard and those on the receiver properly align.
Then install the BCG and the charging handle into the upper receiver.
Your AR-15 upper receiver is now ready. Let’s proceed and assemble the lower receiver.
Start by installing your magazine catch assembly into the AR-15 lower receiver. Press the magazine release button into its position thread the magazine catch from the other side till it flushes into position.
Then install the trigger guard assembly into the lower. Start by attaching the trigger and ensure its roll pins are well lined-up.
Ensure you have all the parts of the Bolt catch assembly ready. Fix the spring into the plunger then into their slot. Then drive in the bolt catch and align it before squeezing the bolt catch pin using a pair of pliers.
Go ahead and fix the trigger assembly. First, ensure your trigger spring legs and the disconnector spring are well aligned before placing this assembly into the lower receiver. You must also further align this assembly with the pinhole on the receiver such that you can see through before driving in the trigger pin. Your hammer and spring should come on top of the trigger. Then align them before pushing in the second trigger pin using your brass/nylon hammer.
Proceed and install your pistol grip on the lower side of the receiver. It’s also installed together with the safety selector. Properly align the grip with the lower receiver and screw in a nut to tighten them together.
It’s time to fix the rear takedown pin and a detent on the lower receiver’s rear part
Then position the buffer retainer and spring in place.
Screws in the castle nut on the buffer tube and followed by the end-plate. Then align this whole assemble of the receiver’s end and slightly screw the buffer tube on the receiver.
Ensure the end plate is in line with the spring before doing a further thread of buffer tube till it touches the buffer retainer. Ensure the spring is intact all time. Then continues screwing the castle nut.
Now install the front pivot pin and the detent its spring. The Utility knife is significant at this stage as it helps hold the detent spring while driving the detent itself.
Finalize this process by adding your buffer and buffer spring into its place.
At this stage, your AR-15 lower and upper receivers are complete. Now you should attach them, and you built an AR-15 gun.
Attach your loaded magazine and go for the function of your AR-15.

2. Case

From most tests that adopted the three tests, there was a relative pressure difference between the .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO. The .223 Remington runs about 55,000 psi while the 5.56 NATO is at approximately 58,000 psi.

It’s fine to fire the .223 Rem in a 5.56 NATO chamber but not the other way round. Why? Remember, one significant difference between the two cartridges is their case brass size. The 5.56 NATO is designed for high-pressure loads, and its leade length is longer than that of the .223 Rem.

Steps on How to Assemble an AR-15 Lower Receiver

Step 1: Magazine Catch Assembly

Drop in the magazine catch on it hole on the left side of the lower.
Fix in the magazine catch spring on the right side and screw in the magazine button on top of it.
Push in the magazine button inwards using a punch and turn the magazine catch clockwise till it clicks into place.
You may do a test if it functions using your magazine.

Step 2: Bolt Catch Assembly

Hold your roll pin using your pair of needle nose pliers and push it into its place (left side of the receiver) using a punch. However, drive it halfway.
Then drop in the bolt catch spring into the holes below the roll pin and the plunger on top of it.
Install the bolt catch as well while ensuring proper alignment.
Then insert a pinch punch into the opposite side of the roll pin. It will help retain the bolt catch.
Finally, use a Nylon/Brass hammer to drive down the roll pin completely.

Step 3: Pivot Pin Assembly

Start by inserting the detent and spring into the lower receiver.
Then compress it using a punch. However, hold it carefully as the detent can fly away. You can as well use a knife to hold it in place.
Finish this step by pushing in the pivot pin until the detent clicks into position with the pivot pin.

Step 4: Trigger Guard Assembly

Place your trigger guard into its slot on the lower receiver.
Drive in the trigger guard screw. Use an Allen wrench.
Finish the installation by inserting the trigger guard roll pin into its place. A nylon/brass hammer and a roll pin punch will help you handle this.

Step 5: Selector and Pistol Grip Assembly

Drop in the safety selector into its hole on the left side of the receiver.
Rotate it until it’s tight and ensure it points in the fire position.
Turn your lower receiver upside down. It will allow you to install the grip.
Fix in the selector detent into its hole on the receiver’s lower side where the grip will sit.
Put the selector into the hole on the grip.
Then correctly align the lower receiver and the pistol grip before pressing them together for a tight fit.
Lastly, you will have to drive in the pistol grip screw to tighten the grip against the lower receiver using a flat-blade screwdriver. Also, insert the lock-washer.

Step 6: Trigger Group Assembly

Set your AR-15 on the vise and utilize the vise block.
In our case, we are using a pre-assembled trigger assembly.
Drop in the trigger assembly with its springs pointing forward. Ensure it’s well-aligned in its place.
Then place and align the disconnector on top of the trigger.
If your trigger pinhole is clear after the alignment, push in the trigger pin. Use a nylon/brass hammer to drive in the pin to the other side.
Now, install your hammer assembly into the receiver.
Position the hammer assembly with the hammer spring ends, pointing the ends of the trigger spring.
When the other hole on the receiver’s side is clear and the hammer properly aligned, proceed and install the hammer pin.
The hammer pin is driven in as the trigger pin was fixed.

Step 7: Stock and Buffer Tube Assembly

Start by inserting the takedown pin on its slot on the receiver.
Then fix in the takedown pin detent followed by the takedown pin spring on the lower receiver’s rear.
Now, it’s time to site the buffer tube assembly into the receiver.
Thread the castle nut and end-plate onto the front side of the buffer tube.
Procced and drop in the buffer retainer and buffer retainer spring on their slot on top of the lower receiver.
Then slightly thread your buffer onto the receiver, then stop and hold the buffer retainer.
Also, align the end-plate and push towards the receiver.
Thread your castle nut until it tightly holds the end-plate. You can also use an Armorer’s wrench to tighten it further.
Then put your buffer and buffer spring into the buffer tube. Ensure the buffer clicks into place past the detent.
The very final stage entails the installation of an AR-15 collapsible stock on the buffer tube (you can use stock of your choice). Also, for the AR)-15 pistol version, you can use a brace.
Align and push the stock into the buffer tube, holding the level downwards to allows its movement.
